❓ Why Your Points May Change

Last updated 7 months ago

Let’s break down why your SweatScore points might look lower or higher than you expected. Knowing how it works keeps you feeling clear, motivated, and focused on what really matters – your consistency.

🔍 Points refresh monthly

At the start of each new month, your points reset to zero. This gives everyone a fresh chance to:

✅ Set new goals
✅ Climb the leaderboard again
✅ Unlock better rewards with each new month

🔥 Heart rate burned affect your points

Your points from sweat is based on heart rate recorded by your Health app (Apple Health or Health Connect). If your tracker didn’t record your heart rate accurately or permissions aren’t fully granted, your points might be lower than expected.

💡 Tip: Check your fitness tracker to ensure heart rate is recorded properly and synced.

👣 Steps sync accuracy

SweatScore pulls steps data directly from your Health app. If:

❌ You left your phone at home
❌ Your watch battery died
❌ Steps didn’t sync correctly

…your points will reflect that lower step count.

⚠️ Points calculation updates

Sometimes, SweatScore updates how points are calculated to keep things fair and motivating for everyone. If your points seem different than before for the same activities, check the App Updates & Changelog section for recent changes.

🔄 Duplicate workout data

If the same workout is recorded twice in your Health app (e.g. by Apple Watch and a workout app), it can temporarily make your workout or step data and points look higher. This usually resolves after your Health app finishes syncing.

📝 Refresh your Dashboard

If your points aren’t updating:

  • Pull down on your Dashboard screen to refresh.

  • Close and reopen the app if needed.

💛 Still unsure?

We’ll check it out to make sure your efforts are getting the credit they deserve.

💛 Bottom line

Points can change based on your movement data, refresh cycles, and monthly resets. They’re there to motivate you, not stress you out and we’re always here to help if anything looks off.
