💧 How to Earn Sweat Points

Last updated 7 months ago

Sweat Points are how we track your effort. You earn them by doing intentional workouts that raise your heart rate — things that make you breathe heavier, feel warm, and know you're actually moving your body on purpose.

💪 What kind of workouts earn Sweat Points?

You’ll earn points from activities that show you’re working, not just walking casually or doing chores.

Here are examples of workouts that usually count:

✅ Brisk walking (like you’re in a hurry)
✅ Dance workouts
✅ Strength training
✅ Cycling (indoors or outdoors)
✅ Running or jogging
✅ Home workouts
✅ HIIT sessions
✅ Boxing, skipping, pilates
✅ Active group classes (like Zumba, barre, etc)

💡 If your heart rate goes up during it — it’s likely to earn you points.

📲 How does SweatScore know?

We use your heart rate to calculate points.
If your workout raises your heart rate high enough, for long enough, you’ll start earning points.

Your fitness tracker or smartwatch collects the data, and SweatScore does the math.

✅ Make sure your workouts are tracked

To earn points, follow these steps:

  1. Use your smartwatch or tracker to start a workout (choose Walk, Strength, Dance, etc.)

  2. Don’t forget to start the workout — just walking around may not get picked up!

  3. Give permission for:

🛑 Why didn’t I earn points?

Here are the most common reasons:

  • You didn’t start an actual workout using your tracker

  • Your heart rate didn’t go high enough (e.g. slow walk or low-effort movement)

  • Health Connect or Apple Health didn’t sync properly

  • SweatScore doesn’t have permission to read your heart rate data

Check permissions.
Make sure:

  • Your tracker app is allowed to write heart rate data to Apple Health or Health Connect.

  • SweatScore has permission to read that heart rate data.

🎯 How to earn more points daily

  • Pick up your pace — brisk movement scores more

  • Add intensity: hills, weights, tempo

  • Mix cardio and strength

  • Log your workouts consistently

  • Stay consistent day by day — the points add up!
