🔧 Fixing Health App Sync Issues

Last updated 7 months ago

If your steps or workouts aren’t syncing from your Health app to SweatScore, let’s sort it out together. Here’s your no-stress, step-by-step guide to get things working again.

🔍 1. Check app permissions

For Apple Health:

  1. Open the Health app.

  2. Tap your profile picture (top right).

  3. Tap Apps & Services.

  4. Select SweatScore.

  5. Make sure permissions are turned ON.

For Health Connect (Android):

  1. Open Health Connect.

  2. Tap App permissions under Permissions and data.

  3. Make sure SweatScore is toggled ON for steps and calories.

  4. Also check your fitness tracker app (e.g. Samsung Health, Fitbit) has permission to share data with Health Connect.

🔄 2. Refresh your data

Sometimes the connection just needs a gentle nudge.

  1. Open SweatScore.

  2. Go to your Dashboard.

  3. Pull down on the screen to refresh your data.

🔋 3. Restart your phone

It sounds basic, but it works. Restarting can reset any stuck connections between apps.

🗓️ 4. Check your tracker app data

If your tracker app isn’t recording any steps or calories for today, SweatScore won’t show anything either. Open your fitness tracker app (Apple Watch, Samsung Health, Fitbit, etc.) and confirm your data is recorded there first.

⚠️ 5. Update your apps

Make sure your:

  • SweatScore app

  • Health app (Apple Health or Health Connect)

  • Fitness tracker app

…are all updated to their latest versions in the App Store or Play Store.

📝 6. Reconnect your Health app

If it’s still not working:

  • Disconnect SweatScore from Apple Health or Health Connect.

  • Close all apps completely.

  • Reopen SweatScore and reconnect to your Health app.
